These diagrams show the current configuration and modes of operation for the power system.
As the first step of the arc flash hazard analysis, up to date electrical system drawings are necessary to identify: power sources, voltage levels, electrical equipment (generators, transformers, motors, MCC’s, switchboards, panel boards, etc.) and protective devices (breakers, protective relays, fuses).
If your diagrams are up to date, these will need to be supplied to us and you are ready for the next step of the arc flash hazard analysis.
If your diagrams are NOT up to date, or do not exist, we can develop them for you.
The duration of this process depends on the type and size of your facility and the number of equipment. We can use SKM PTW software (preferred) or any other electrical engineering software that you require. Our field technician(s) will perform onsite data collection from all applicable electrical equipment required to build an SKM PTW model of your facilities power system. You also have the option to have your staff trained in data collection using our forms instead.
The next step of the arc flash hazard analysis can be combined with this process to save you time and money.
